Sharon Fletcher is chief administrative officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND). She oversees many divisions, including Health Network Innovation (HNI), Human Resources and Learning and Development, Information Technology, Continuous Improvement and Performance, and Operations and Member Experience.
Fletcher joined BCBSND in 2012 as senior vice president of Provider Relations and Reimbursement, and Medical Management, now known as Health Network Innovation (HNI). Fletcher worked as senior project director for Stanley Black and Decker Healthcare Solutions in New Britain, Conn., where she provided strategic consulting for healthcare organizations. Prior to that, Fletcher worked at Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND, as manager of Learning and Organizational Development, Excellence and Effectiveness. Fletcher has also held various senior level positions in the airline and technology industries.
She is a member of the Women Business Leaders of the US Health Care Industry Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to connect and convene senior executive women from across the healthcare industry to create meaningful cross-sector relationships, expand their leadership, and harness their collective power to improve the industry.
Fletcher earned a doctorate in organizational leadership and behavior from North Central University in Prescott, Ariz. She has a master of science degree in human resource management and labor relations from La Roche College and a bachelor of science degree in business management from Point Park College, both in Pittsburgh.
