Sharon Fletcher is chief administrative officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota.
She oversees the Health Network Innovation (HNI); Human Resources and Learning and Development; Enterprise Strategic Services (ESS); Continuous Improvement & Performance; and Communications, Public Affairs, and Strategy, divisions for the company.
Fletcher joined BCBSND in 2012 as senior vice president of Provider Relations and Reimbursement, and Medical Management, which is now known as HNI.
Fletcher previously worked as senior project director for Stanley Black and Decker Healthcare Solutions in New Britain, Conn., where she provided strategic consulting for health care organizations to help them implement long-term process capabilities that create efficiencies. Prior to that, Fletcher worked at Altru Health System in Grand Forks as manager of Learning and Organizational Development, Excellence and Effectiveness.
Before joining BCBSND, Fletcher had 23 years of experience in the human resource development, organizational development, strategic leadership and communications fields. Fletcher has also held various senior level positions in the airline and technology industries.
Fletcher earned a doctorate in organizational leadership and behavior from North Central University in Prescott, Ariz. She has a master of science degree in human resource management and labor relations from La Roche College and a bachelor of science degree in business management from Point Park College, both in Pittsburgh.
