Wellbeats streaming fitness is now available to all members

Description

Wellbeats includes hundreds of high-quality, engaging fitness classes, workout plans and fitness challenges for all levels and ages, from children to seniors. Classes are streamed on-demand from a mobile devise or tablet.

Original vs. adapted offering

Previously an add-on service available to members whose employers had purchased it, Wellbeats is temporarily available to all members.

Timeframe

Members will have free access to Wellbeats until July 31, 2020.

Silver Sneakers offers members alternative exercise options

Description

While regular programming is unavailable, Silver Sneakers is sending fitness directly to individuals at home.  Activities include livestream classes, guided walks, broadcasts of live events, live instructor-led events in open places, and more.

Original vs. adapted offering

Originally intended to get older adults into the gym and connecting with one another, Silver Sneakers is temporarily making programming available at home.

Timeframe

Silver Sneakers users will likely continue to have access to the alternative Silver Sneakers options even after health club access resumes.

HCC participants can earn credits at home, through HealthyBlue

Description

With health clubs now officially closed, members with Health Club Credit are unable to earn credit via the usual means, through visits. Temporarily, HCC users will be invited to participate and earn credit by tracking their physical activity through the Healthy Blue online wellness center.

Original vs. extended offering

Originally HCC rewarded people for working out at participating gyms 12 or more days per month. Under the HealthyBlue program, members have access to the HealthyBlue wellness portal which delivers health information, tools, challenges and more.

Daily physical activity points values have been adjusted, allowing members to earn an amount comparable to the HCC credit (2,700 points equivalent to $27).

Timeframe

The alternative option is available through May, and may be extented. Each month we’ll look at the number of health clubs reopened and reconsider the offering.

Access

To log in to HealthyBlue, current HCC participants can:

  1. Log into Online Member Services*
  2. Click on the HealthyBlue Home icon.
