How do I sign up?
You can sign up for the text4baby service by texting BABY to 511411 (or BEBE to receive updates in Spanish). You can sign up any time during pregnancy or the child's first year of life. To cancel, text the word STOP to 511411 from the same cell phone you signed up for text alerts on.

Who is eligible for the program?
The text4baby program is open to all Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota members and family members who are expecting or have newborn children.

How much does it cost?
Text4baby is free for those receiving mobile phone services from the following providers:

Alltel, Assurance Wireless, AT&T, Boost Mobile, Cellular South, Cellcom, Centennial Cellular, Cincinnati Bell, Cricket, Metro PCS, N-Telos, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Verizon Wireless, Virgin Mobile USA.

All texts from text4baby will begin with "free msg" to remind you they are free messages. If you believe you have been charged for text4baby messages in error, please contact your service provider.

You will not receive advertisements from text4baby. You will not be able to respond to the texts or answer questions. If you have questions, you should contact your doctor. Text4baby is a free service from the National Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition.

Is text4baby associated with the Prenatal Plus program?
Text4baby is not related to BCBSND's Prenatal Plus program, which also provides members with resources for expectant and new parents.
