Freedom PPO plan can help veterans leverage their Medicare to access additional providers and more benefits
FARGO, N.D. – NextBlue of North Dakota announced today it will make available a new Medicare Advantage Freedom preferred provider option (PPO) plan designed for veterans in North Dakota in 2023.
Through the Freedom PPO plan, North Dakota veterans can combine into one easy plan their Medicare Parts A and B together with many extra benefits not covered by traditional Medicare or VA coverage. The plan does not replace existing veteran or VA programs but serves to complement them to provide veterans additional benefits and access to a larger provider network.
"The Freedom PPO plan is ideal for veterans interested in expansive coverage and location options, particularly in our state where distance to a provider can be a real challenge for many," said Beth West, NextBlue North Dakota plan president. "With the Freedom PPO plan, veterans can access non-VA and non-Tricare approved providers and get access to care with other important providers of their choice outside the VA system."
The Freedom PPO plan also provides supplemental benefits, such as routine dental and vision, hearing aids, Silver Sneakers® fitness membership, over-the-counter medication and supply allowances and more.
