As you may know, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) recently completed the transition to our current claims processing platform. Members began migrating to the new platform on July 1, 2018, and the migration of all members was completed on January 1, 2019.
As a part of this change, legacy claims (claims for dates of service prior to when a member migrated to our new platform) will no longer be able to be sent electronically after December 31, 2019. After December 31, 2019, if providers need to submit a claim for a date of service prior to when a member migrated, providers may still do so by submitting the claim on paper.
Claims for dates of service after a member’s migration (including any claims with a 2019 date of service and all claims going forward) can continue to be submitted electronically to Availity.
As a part of this change, any BCBSND Trading Partner Agreements providers had previously completed and sent to Noridian EDI Support Services will be terminated.
