Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Medicaid Expansion is reminding providers for members who already have an approved Medicaid Expansion precertification in place prior to the January 1, 2022 administration change from Sanford Health Plan to BCBSND will need to have a new approved precertification in place to continue care for services that extend into 2022.
BCBSND Medicaid Expansion will allow a 30-day continuity of care for providers to obtain a new approved precertification, providers will have until January 31, 2022, to obtain the approval through the Availity precertification approval process.
