Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) would like to share an opportunity provided by the North Dakota Department of Human Services (NDDHS). NDDHS is offering 1915(i) Provider Development Grants. Additional 1915(i) providers are needed, statewide, to bring 1915(i) Medicaid Home and Community-Based Behavioral Health Services to more North Dakotans.
This funding opportunity by NDDHS is intended to defray costs and eliminate barriers to providing 1915(i) services. Total funding available is $80,000, and providers may request up to $10,000. This competitive grant process is available for providers who have enrolled, as well as those who are committed to enrolling to provide 1915(i) services.
The 1915(i) is an amendment to North Dakota’s State Medicaid Plan which funds additional Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) for eligible individuals with acute behavioral health needs. These services support individuals to live safely and successfully in the community of their choice and avoid a higher level of care than they need. Enrolled 1915(i) providers choose to offer one or more of the following services: Care Coordination, Respite, Training and Support for Unpaid Caregivers, Non-Medical Transportation, Family Peer Support, Peer Support, Supported Education, Benefits Planning, Pre-Vocational Training, Supported Employment, and Housing Support.
Applications and supporting documentation must be submitted, by email, to Dawn Pearson, Medicaid 1915(i) Administrator at email@example.com by 4pm CST on December 30,2021.
