As technology enables more flexibility in care delivery, BCBSND remains committed to continuing to work with the provider community toward a telehealth solution that makes sense for our members and adequately compensates providers.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, BCBSND made several significant changes to our telehealth approach in order to ensure members were able to access needed care. As we look at long-term options, and with the significant increase in the number of telehealth services being provided, it is important for BCBSND to hear from the provider community on what makes the most sense in the post-COVID time period related to telehealth.
At this time, we are putting forth a draft medical policy on telehealth, and we welcome comments on all aspects of telehealth including remote home monitoring, remote physiological monitoring, telehealth reimbursement policy, etc.
The policy will be located under the draft tab on the telehealth policy page.
