As stated in the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Provider Group Agreement and the Provider Manual, claims denied as timely filing limit exceeded are provider liable, and the members will be held harmless. Recently, a system issue was identified in which timely filing rejects were coded as member liable. Claims have been identified for review and adjustments to change the liability from member to provider have started. Please review your remits in the coming weeks to ensure affected members are credited and/or refunded these amounts.
