Understanding Health Reform

The Affordable Care Act is 2,000 pages long and polls consistently show that Americans don't understand many key parts of the health care law.

With less than a month before open enrollment begins on online health exchanges in each state, a poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation finds that 51% of Americans don't understand how health reform will impact them. More than 60% of uninsured Americans surveyed said they didn't know enough about health reform.

Here are some recent news stories about health reform, including a description of online insurance exchanges or marketplaces that will begin operating in North Dakota and other states on Oct. 1, 2013.
