Question #2: What is covered on my health plan?
Our customer service staff answers hundreds of calls each day. We decided we would answer the five most common questions we receive from members. Some of the most common questions we get have to do with what specific benefits are covered in members' Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota health insurance plans.
Specific benefits, coverage details and member cost sharing responsibility (such as copays) vary depending upon your specific plan and the way your plans benefits were designed.
You can register online and visit BCBSND.com/manage-my-benefits to securely manage your insurance coverage and benefits online. The online members portal allows you access to info about insurance coverage details, insurance claims, how to sign up and receive electronic Explanation of Benefits forms, how to determine if you have met your deductible and how to rate your doctor.
To find out the answers, you can contact our customer service folks at 1-800-342-4718. The customer service line is available from 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Central time, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesdays, the customer service line is available from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. to accommodate our morning training schedule.
If you have a copy of your insurance benefit plan, you can also review that for details about what is covered and not covered by your plan.
