Bartle promoted to vice president at BCBSND

Brad Bartle has been promoted to vice president of actuarial and membership at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Fargo. He replaces Janine Weideman, who retired April 2.

As vice president, Bartle is responsible for the actuarial services department, the management information services department and the membership and underwriting department.

A native of Janesville, Wis., he graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a bachelor's degree in actuarial mathematics. He worked for the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association's Federal Employee Program in Chicago and later for an Illinois insurance company before joining BCBSND in 2004 as assistant vice president of actuarial services.

Bartle and his wife, Judy, live in Moorhead. They have three sons, David, 8, Jonathan, 6, and Nathan, 2.
