FARGO — Dr. Aileen Luz has joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) as a Medical Director in the Health Network Innovation department.
Dr. Luz is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for quality management activities, including quality monitoring, fraud, waste and abuse, physician reporting and medical policy development. She also provides clinical support for Utilization Management, Case Management and Disease Management.
Before joining BCBSND, Dr. Luz worked as a primary care physician at Fargo VA Healthcare System and as a clinical assistant professor of Family and Community Medicine at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks. Prior to that, she worked as a Family Medicine primary care physician at Sanford Health in Fargo.
Dr. Luz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. She achieved a Doctor of Medicine degree from Far Eastern University, Manila, Philippines. Dr. Luz completed a Family Medicine Residency Program at Warren Hospital, a UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Affiliate, in Phillipsburg, NJ.
