BCBSND promotes Shelly Stalpes to director of the Customer Contact Center

FARGO — Shelly Stalpes has been promoted to director of the Customer Contact Center at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND).

Stalpes is responsible to manage, monitor and coordinate all member and provider services activities of BCBSND to ensure the company meets consumers' expectations. She will ensure Customer Contact Center staff responds to inquiries with courtesy and professionalism, and staff provides timely and accurate information.

She has been with the organization for 27 years and has served as manager of Claims Service Units for the past seven years. From 1992 through 2008, she served as team leader of the Claims Service Units, which included North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (NDPERS), Federal Employee Program (FEP), Dental, Vision, the Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and the Bismarck Service Office.

Stalpes received her bachelor of science degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
