Michelle Bishoff has been promoted to assistant vice president of Claims Administration at BlueCross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Fargo.
Born and raised in Moorhead, Minn., Bishoff received a bachelor of science degree in business management from the University of Mary, Fargo. She has worked in the Claims Department since joining BCBSND in May 1990, first as a chiropractic claims examiner, then as a subrogation specialist. She was later promoted to supervisor and then manager. As manager she was responsible for six service units dedicated to processing claims and handling phone calls for various accounts.
As AVP of Claims Administration, she provides leadership to management staff and employees to ensure the Claims Department is operating within acceptable inventory levels, and that the department is meeting or exceeding national and corporate standards for quality and timeliness of claims and inquiry processing.
She and her husband, David, have two children, Jordan and Kelsey, and live in West Fargo.
