FARGO, N.D. — All former PRACS employees are invited to explore career openings at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) and its affiliated companies including Noridian Administrative Services (Noridian). The company will host an all-day job exploration event for former PRACS workers on Tuesday, March 26, in the Dakota Rooms at BCBSND in Fargo, from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. CST.
With more than 350 PRACS employees learning their company was closing its Fargo location, BCBSND hopes these individuals will investigate career opportunities for full-time employment in information technology, audit and finance, marketing, medically-related fields, customer service and other professional positions.
"We'd prefer not to see any community members experience a situation like this, but we are hopeful that the former PRACS employees will explore new opportunities at Blue Cross Blue Shield and our affiliated companies," said Michelle Kommer, senior vice president of human resources and development. "It's an exciting time here, and we are seeking talented individuals like these to support our growth."
The career fair will feature jobs at BCBSND as well as several open positions across the enterprise and Noridian positions tied to the Jurisdiction E (JE) Part A and Part B Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) government contract.
"We know that many of these employees possess translatable skills for the majority of our open positions," continued Kommer. "This is a difficult situation for the PRACS staff, and hopefully we can assist this talented group in transitioning to another positive work environment."
Informational booths will be set up for different divisions to talk with former PRACS employees. Job seekers can view current job openings at BCBSND.com/jobs before attending the career fair and are asked to bring a resume to the event.
