Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota to add job opportunities in Wahpeton, N.D., area

BCBSND to partner with North Dakota State College of Science with on-site location

Wahpeton, N.D. — Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) has entered into a unique partnership with the North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) to help serve its members while also increasing employment and job development opportunities in the Wahpeton, N.D., and surrounding communities.

As part of its continuing efforts to better serve its members throughout the state and provide additional job opportunities for North Dakotans, BCBSND will open a customer service office for employees on the NDSCS campus. BCBSND will lease existing space on the NDSCS campus to house future customer service representatives who live in the Wahpeton area.

"BCBSND offers good full-time employment opportunities with competitive benefits. This new facility will provide another career opportunity for NDSCS graduates and job seekers in the Wahpeton-Breckenridge area," said Mark Tschider, vice president of Customer Support and Claims Administration at BCBSND. "We're excited to be working with NDSCS and we're happy to be able to work in the Wahpeton area."

BCBSND is looking to hire as many as 10 new customer service representatives in the Wahpeton area who will make up the first training class to use the new space on the NDSCS campus. After the completion of their customer service training, the space will be transformed into an office for the new employees. BCBSND customer contact employees also have the option to work from home through the organization's telecommuting policy.

"We are excited to bring job growth to the Wahpeton community and feel there is a strong workforce to match our needs that will further enhance the service we provide to our customers," said Russ Boyle, director of the Customer Contact Center at BCBSND.

BCBSND will host a job fair for the new positions on April 7 on the NDSCS campus. For more information about job opportunities, visit www.BCBSND.com/jobs. Successful applicants will begin training and employment with BCBSND in late May.
