FARGO, N.D. — Daniel Conrad has been hired as chief legal officer of Noridian Mutual Insurance Company (NMIC). NMIC offers quality health care coverage as Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota as a licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
Conrad provides strategic and legal expertise and business acumen to proactively formulate and execute upon business strategy, and serve as the expert in understanding and managing legal risks and opportunities across the enterprise. In addition, he leads the Legal department, and represents the enterprise with outside agencies, partners and the community at large.
Before joining NMIC, Conrad worked as lead counsel in tax and employee benefits law for FedEx Corporation in Memphis, Tenn.
A native of Lake Park, Minn., Conrad earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Minnesota State University Moorhead and a Juris Doctor with distinction from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks.
