Dr. Elizabeth Faust rejoins BCBSND as senior director for Behavioral Health

FARGO, N.D. — Dr. Elizabeth Faust has rejoined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) as a senior director for Behavioral Health in Health Network Innovation division.

In this role, she will provide medical and administrative leadership for behavioral health in conjunction with other division leadership and will be responsible for development and maintenance of effective relationships with the provider community.

Born in Garden City, Kansas, Faust grew up in Kansas and Colorado. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa, and her medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City. Faust completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wichita.

Faust has worked in the behavioral health provider community in Fargo-Moorhead for 25 years, with experience in public and private sector psychiatry and physician leadership at Southeast Human Service Center and MeritCare/Sanford Health. She originally joined BCBSND in 2012 as a medical director in the Provider Relations, Reimbursement and Medical Management division, now known as HNI. She rejoins BCBSND in her new role after a year as chief of psychiatry at the Fargo VA Health System.
