Dr. Eunah Fischer recently joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Fargo, as a medical director in medical management. She will assist in a broad array of services provided by medical management and will focus on quality monitoring, fraud, waste and abuse, physician reporting and medical policy development. She will also provide clinical support for utilization management, case management and disease management.
Before joining BCBSND, Fischer was an internist at Sanford Clinic Southpointe, Fargo, and a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks.
Born in Seoul, South Korea, Fischer immigrated to California and grew up near San Francisco.
She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and her medical doctorate from Dartmouth Medical School, Hanover, N.H. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Harvard Medical School, and a fellowship in geriatrics at UNC Chapel Hill. Before joining Sanford, she was in private practice in Chapel Hill, N.C.
