FARGO, N.D. — John Vastag has joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) as director of Health and Medical Transformation in the Health Network Innovation division.

Vastag provides leadership and cooperative relations with all health and medical transformation efforts relative to the Health Network Innovation division. He also develops healthy working relations with provider network, associations, key leaders and programs.

Prior to joining BCBSND, he worked at Sanford Health in Fargo as the executive director of the Health Policy Consortium and as the director of legislative affairs.

Vastag was born in Hebron, N.D., and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in special education from Minot State University in Minot, N.D.
