FARGO, N.D. — Jeffrey Ulschmid has been promoted to manager of Enterprise Security and Risk Management in the Enterprise Strategic Services division at Noridian Mutual Insurance Company (NMIC). NMIC offers quality health care coverage as Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota as a licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

Ulschmid is responsible for Information Technology security and compliance with federal and state laws and regulations. He also oversees security strategic alignment with divisional and corporate goals, coordinates IT audit activities and Information Services Security within IT Governance. Ulschmid oversees the teams for Security Operations, Logging and Monitoring, Incident Response and Internal Vulnerability.

He began his NMIC career in 2013 as a team lead for the Enterprise Security Logging and Monitoring team.

Ulschmid earned an associate degree in industrial electronics from Moorhead Technical College in Moorhead, Minn., and an associate degree in agronomy from the University of Minnesota, Crookston.
