NMIC promotes Kelsey Smith to manager of Total Rewards in HR

FARGO, N.D. — Kelsey Smith has been promoted to manager of Total Rewards in Human Resources (HR) at Noridian Mutual Insurance Company (NMIC). NMIC offers quality health care coverage as Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota as a licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.

Smith is responsible to establish, implement and lead processes, practices and communications to support the strategic compensation and benefits programs of the enterprise that enhance NMIC's competitive advantage in the talent marketplace. She also develops and implements communication plans and materials ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is readily available to employees, management, and human resource areas. Smith monitors trends and market data to support total rewards programs and ensure regulatory compliance regarding all plans and offerings.

She began her NMIC career in 2012 as an HR business partner and was promoted to compensation analyst in 2013.

Smith earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from North Dakota State University, Fargo. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).
