Rosaleah Bernardo joins BCBSND as medical director

FARGO, N.D. — Rosaleah Bernardo has joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) as a medical director in the Health Network Innovation division.

Bernardo is responsible for providing leadership and oversight for quality management activities, including quality monitoring, fraud, waste and abuse, physician reporting and medical policy development. She also provides clinical support for Utilization Management, Case Management and Disease Management.

Before joining BCBSND, Bernardo worked as a pediatric emergency physician at Texas Children's Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Prior to that, she worked as a pediatric critical care physician at Sanford Children's Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D.

Bernadro earned a bachelor of science degree in medical technology and a doctor in medicine from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila. She completed her fellowship training in pediatric critical care medicine at Children's Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University in Chicago.
