Schoenborn and Bercier promoted to manager at BCBSND

Kevin Schoenborn was promoted to manager of Consulting Services in the Marketing Department at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Fargo, effective August 18. He replaced Larry Brooks, who retired August 15.

Schoenborn oversees administration of the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System (NDPERS) group account. He is also responsible for the development and implementation of value-added consulting services and member education to BCBSND's employer groups and members.

He completed an accounting program at Northland Community and Technical College, Thief River Falls, Minn., and a computer programming program at Minnesota State Community and Technical College, Moorhead, Minn.

Schoenborn joined BCBSND in 1986 and worked as a provider reimbursement statistician I and II in Provider Reimbursement. He later worked in Management Information Services (MIS) as a research analyst I, II, III, senior research analyst, product coordinator/senior analyst and team leader. He was promoted to large group consultant in Marketing and was a senior larger group consultant prior to his recent promotion.

Carman Bercier has been promoted to manager of Claims at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, Fargo. She oversees the team leaders in BlueCard, Medical Review and Audit, and Claims Entry and Verification to ensure the departments function efficiently and maintain acceptable inventories. She also ensures the departments meet national, corporate and departmental standards for quality and timeliness of claims processing and customer service.

She received her associate of applied science degree from Bismarck State College and her bachelor of science degree in marketing from Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Bercier joined BCBSND in 1990 and worked as a chiropractic claims adjudicator, claims performance specialist, operations analyst, pharmacy coordinator/analyst, BlueCard/Chiropractic/Preferred Provider Organization team leader and then BlueCard team leader before her recent promotion.
