Shelly Stalpes was promoted to manager of Claims Service Units in Claims and Member Services (CAMS) at BCBSND, effective February 18.
Shelly Stalpes was promoted to manager of Claims Service Units in Claims and Member Services (CAMS) at BCBSND, effective February 18.
She oversees Preferred Provider Organization, Dental Service Corporation and Vision Services, Inc.; Special Accounts, which consists of the Federal Employee Program and the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System; and claims service for the Bismarck Service Center in Bismarck.
Stalpes was born in Moorhead, Minn., grew up in Fargo and earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Minnesota State University Moorhead. She joined BCBSND in 1985 in a clerical position and in 1989 became secretary to the senior manager of Claims Operations. In 1991, she was promoted to quality assurance specialist in Private Claims, and in January 1992 became team leader of Special Accounts in CAMS.
She and her husband, Brian, have two sons, Jared, 12, and Ryan, 10. They live in Fargo.
