Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota has appreciated the opportunity to be North Dakotans serving North Dakotans, providing great value in health care coverage to the thousands of dedicated public employees and educators who are part of the North Dakota Public Employees Retirement System, NDPERS, for the past 37 years.

The board of NDPERS has made the decision to move health coverage for what has historically been BCBSND's largest employer group to another company, despite what we believe was a proposal that provided the best value possible. As a local member-owned company with almost 1,000 North Dakota employees, including a dedicated team providing service to NDPERS members—this decision will have a significant impact on our organization as well as members of this group.

We want to assure NDPERS members that we will be working to ensure the smoothest transition possible, with the fervent hope that we will be able to provide health benefits to this group again in the future.
