Ashley Wolf Nominated as SCHEELS Hidden Hometown Hero

Ashley Wold Hidden Hometown Hero Award

BISMARCK, N.D. — Service is not something Ashley Wolf clocks in to. It is how she shows up for her community. The Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) key strategic account manager has been nominated for the SCHEELS Hidden Hometown Hero award for her years of volunteer work across the Bismarck-Mandan area.

BCBSND nominated Wolf for a SCHEELS Hidden Hometown Hero award in recognition of her longstanding commitment to serving families, children and vulnerable neighbors across the Bismarck-Mandan community.

“Ashley’s service-driven nature truly goes above and beyond,” said Steve Webster, her leader at BCBSND. “She brings the same care, dedication and compassion to her community that she brings to her clients, and her commitment to helping others makes a lasting impact across the Bismarck-Mandan area.”

Wolf has volunteered with Tracy’s Sanctuary House since 2015, supporting families with hospitalized loved ones through fundraising efforts, sponsorships and ongoing hands-on involvement. She is also actively engaged with the 31:8 Project, helping raise awareness and supporting events that benefit survivors of human trafficking.

Her service extends to Heaven’s Helpers, where she supports the 701 Closet, Soup Café and Repurpose Store by organizing donation drives, preparing goods and assisting with meeting everyday community needs. Her dedication to giving back has inspired her daughter to volunteer alongside her.

Wolf also supports HIPP Kid’s Therapy by volunteering at fundraising events, including the Remarkable Kid’s Rodeo and past Farm Days activities. Her connection to the organization is also personal, as her daughter previously participated in equine-assisted therapy. In addition, Wolf contributes to inclusive youth programming through the Remarkable Kid’s Rodeo and volunteers with Furry Friends Rockin’ Rescue, assisting with its largest annual fundraising event.

“Giving back has always been important to me because I like knowing I’m helping people in meaningful ways. It’s also important for me to show my daughter that service is simply part of who we are and how we take care of our community.”

At BCBSND, Wolf promotes community engagement through her involvement with internal committees, encouraging volunteerism and service among employees.

“We are proud of employees like Ashley who live out our mission through service,” said Amber Blomberg, foundation & community engagement executive director. “Her passion

for volunteering strengthens our communities and reflects the values that guide our work to support health and well-being across North Dakota.”

Everyone is invited to support her nomination by voting in the SCHEELS Hidden Hometown Hero program. Voting is open to the public, and you can submit your vote here: https://nd.blue/3OWWKrM
