Kristi Huber joins BCBSND as Chief Marketing Officer

Kristi Huber, current President& CEO of United Way of Class-Clay has been hired as Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND). Huber will begin in her new role on June 1, 2021.

"Before joining the United Way team in 2011 as the Resource Development Director, I was working in the insurance industry and working with companies and individuals as a broker,” shared Huber. “After serving the last five years as the President of United Way and for almost a decade in our community’s nonprofit space, it is exciting for me to be joining the BCBSND team. Their incredible team and mission-driven purpose to improve the care and health of individuals and families across the state of North Dakota truly inspires me. I am looking forward to working alongside this group of dynamic nonprofit leaders to continue to make a difference in the lives of our North Dakota neighbors.

Prior to joining BCBSND, Huber served in various executive level roles, providing expertise in the areas of strategic leadership, relationship development, and many others, serving as a brand and community ambassador and spokesperson.

As Chief Marketing Officer, Huber is responsible for providing executive leadership and direction for the development and implementation of strategic marketing and sales plans for employer groups, brokers/consultants and government markets including brand marketing and communication. In addition, this position directs the management and administration of the sales and account management function of Azurance Group (voluntary benefits and supplemental insurance).

Huber earned her bachelor’s degree in Business and English at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minn. She also earned her Master of Business Administration degree at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D.
