Blomberg assumes new role as former executive director, Pam Gulleson, retires.

Fargo, N.D. – Amber Blomberg was promoted to Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Caring Foundation executive director at BCBSND. Blomberg was chosen to take on the executive director role due to her experience and excellent leadership with the Foundation in collaboration with former executive director Pam Gulleson who retired on Sept. 1, 2023.
 
The BCBSND Caring Foundation is a private 501(c)(3) charitable organization that focuses on the key health issues of North Dakotans and their communities. Blomberg joined Blue in 2012 and held her former position of Community Partnerships and Caring Foundation manager for over a decade. During that time, Blomberg had an integral part in the management and growth of the Foundation's efforts such as grant and scholarship programs, employee engagement initiatives like the Blue&You volunteer program and DollarsforDoers program, charitable giving and community resources like the Social Determinants of Health Study.

Her most recent project was overseeing our Strike Out the Stigma initiative, where the Foundation partnered with The Village Family Service Center, Bismarck Larks, Minot Hot Tots and Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks to help address the growing mental health challenges among youth across North Dakota.

Blomberg is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, holding a bachelor's degree in marketing and business management. She has been recognized as a nominee for YWCA’s Women of the Year and currently serves on the Friends of the Children F-M board, is committee chair for the Ronald McDonald House of the Red River Valley as well as involved on the BIO Girls Impact Committee and the United Way of Cass-Clay Community Impact Review Panel. She started her new role on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
