BCBSND Caring Foundation and Devils Lake Park District Collaborate to Encourage Winter Wellness

Free skate rentals sponsored by BCBSND caring foundation

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. The Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Caring Foundation is excited to announce a new partnership with the local Devils Lake Park District. This aims to encourage community members to stay active during the colder weather, try something new, and enjoy the fun of ice skating without the expense of renting skates. The initiative will cover the cost of skate rentals during select public skating events held at the indoor Burdick Arena.

"The BCBSND Caring Foundation is thrilled to support this initiative that promotes health, wellness, and community engagement," said Amber Blomberg, BCBSND Caring Foundation Executive Director. "By covering the cost of ice skate rentals, we hope to make it easier for everyone to experience the fun of skating and create lasting memories."

The free skate rentals will be available while supplies last during the following public skating dates at Burdick Arena:

  • Saturday, February 8 | 10:15 to 11:45 a.m.
  • Sunday, February 23 | 1:45 to 2:45 p.m.
  • Saturday, March 1 | 6:45 to 7:45 p.m.
