FARGO, N.D. – Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) is partnering with apree health to make it easier for members on commercial and individual insurance plans to understand and use their benefits with a new, digital, personalized health navigator called BCBSND.me. It will be available to members online and as an app beginning Jan. 1, 2025.
BCBSND.me offers a digital hub that brings health management programs and services together in a data-driven, personalized, guided experience that will help members reduce their total cost of care. Through BCBSND.me, members can view their medical claims, search for providers and specialists, and access an extensive library of wellness tools, programs and services. Members can also connect with high-touch Care Guides, expanding BCBSND’s customer support team, to help navigate care options, schedule appointments and close gaps in care.
“This application is a major shift in how we’re serving our members,” said Kristi Huber, BCBSND’s executive vice president and chief marketing officer. “It’s not just a handy portal for members. It’s a vital tool that is meant to make it easier for members to use their benefits, support their well-being and find opportunities to save time and money on health care.”
BCBSND.me provides personalized content and recommendations based on data from a member’s interactions and health history. The digital hub features a dynamic homepage featuring the member’s next best action in their health journey, a central repository of all the benefits available to a member, incentives for reaching goals and engaging with primary and preventive care activities, and more. BCBSND.me users can also search by provider, condition, keyword and medication to see personalized, in-network provider results and pricing for their individual needs.
On top of accessing insurance needs, the digital hub also offers members options to stay connected with resources to manage their health. Members can receive push and in-app notifications, emails and chat for personalized recommendations or talk on the phone with a Care Guide when they want human interaction.
“Our focus at apree is to transform the way health care is delivered,” said Johnny Kaye, Senior Vice President, Solution Management, at apree health. “Our digital solutions and high-touch Care Guides offer a seamless user experience. We get to know the members through their data, engage them with personalized recommendations and guide members to the care they need when they need it.”
With more than a decade of proven success, apree health has partnered with employers and health plans to serve millions of members. By leveraging apree’s advanced technology platform and professional Care Guides, BCBSND is continuing its promise to make it easier and affordable for customers to make their health a priority.
