Caring Foundation funds disc golf course in LaMoure

Earlier this year, the LaMoure County Health Department and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Caring Foundation partnered up to make spirits soar through making a disc golf course for the people of LaMoure County. The course is located in Sunset Park in Lamoure where all nine holes are now ready for use for anyone looking to play a round of disc golf thanks to hard work from LaMoure County Public Health and community volunteers.

Beth DelaBarre, the grant administrator for LaMoure County Health, shared, "This project definitely took longer than we had anticipated, but the final result is a great place for people of all ages to enjoy." She also expressed gratitude for the volunteers who were integral in getting the course set up. Now that the course is ready for use, contributors from LaMoure County and BCBSND alike are excited to see it being used. "The health benefits of getting outside and being on your feet are undeniable, and disc golf is a wonderful way to do both," said Amber Blomberg, BCBSND Caring Foundation manager.
