NextBlue health plans achieve back-to-back 4.5 Medicare star ratings
FARGO, N.D. –NextBlue of North Dakota Medicare Advantage plans have received a 4.5-star rating for the second consecutive year and will now be available to seniors in every North Dakota county - including Stark County - beginning in January. NextBlue, an affiliate of Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND), offers seniors one, easy-to-manage plan with low premiums and rich benefits.
NextBlue plans combine Original Medicare Part A and B coverage with prescription drug coverage (Part D), along with many extra benefits not covered by Original Medicare. These include routine vision exams and eyewear coverage, dental coverage, hearing aids, fitness center memberships, over-the-counter medications and supplies, and clinical support. NextBlue are comprehensive, easy-to-use plans made specifically for North Dakotans.
NextBlue offers a broad network of acute care and critical access hospitals in the state of North Dakota. The network includes most major health systems, including Altru Health System, CHI Health, Trinity Health, Essentia Health, Sanford Health and many other providers throughout the state. In addition, members have access to the national BCBS provider network for access to medical care all over the country.
NextBlue's comprehensive coverage and overall value again earned it a 4.5-star rating for plan year 2024 from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Every year, CMS evaluates plans based on a 5-star rating system that takes into consideration how well the plan partners with providers to take care of member needs.
