Dr. Gregory Glasner

Chief Medical Officer

For Dr. Glasner, health care isn’t just an industry – it’s his profession. With more than 37 years of health care experience as a practicing Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OB-GYN), administrator, executive and board member, Dr. Glasner has gained a 360-degree view of health care delivery and insurance.

Dr. Glasner has seen firsthand how health care can be complex and confusing. That’s why he and his teams work hard to improve care coordination, lower the cost of care and streamline the insurance process. In his role as chief medical officer, Dr. Glasner leads the strategic direction of clinical integration, medical policy and health care cost management.

He earned his medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and chose the OB-GYN field because of the variety of interactions, from acute delivery and surgical care to long-term health maintenance. Overall, the most rewarding part of his work is delivering lifelong health care to his patients and empowering North Dakotans to make their health a priority through his role as a physician, chief medical officer and BCBSND Caring Foundation board member.

A believer in quality over quantity, Dr. Glasner proved his focus on quality as a health care administrator when he and his team of providers carried out the highest quality of care in North Dakota for seven years at Essentia Health in Fargo. Now, he continues that work from the insurance side as he develops data-driven strategies and builds relationships with providers around the state.

In his personal time, Dr. Glasner enjoys spending time outdoors with his loved ones. He’s found getting away from technology and the rush of life helps him recharge and return refreshed.
