FEP member precertification requests can now be submitted electronically through Availity Essentials.
The Predictal Resource guide is available for providers who may not be familiar with the current electronic precertification submission process.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) wants to inform providers of an interim process change for submitting precertification for FEP members.
The authorization submission platform is currently unable to identify eligibility, resulting in error messages. Providers are asked to fax all precertification requests for FEP members.
FEP members are identified by the “R” prefix on their member ID card.
BCBSND will send an updated HealthCare News article when this is fixed.
