Our member and provider services may be experiencing higher than normal call volumes from 12/22/25-1/9/26 due to a large number of staff being out of office. Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) continually develops and revises coding and reimbursement policies and resources in response to rapidly changing medical technology and updates to the coding sets. Our commitment is to update the provider community as coding and reimbursement policies and guidelines are added, adopted and/or revised.
The changes below can be referenced in the updated policies.
The following policies below have been updated to clarify the guidelines regarding overlapping specialty and sub-specialty for provider reference.
We added a statement in the same section regarding the necessity of supporting documentation when a modifier is applied to a procedure or service and added a link to the All Codes- Denial Resolution Search Tool under Cross References.
