Coming Soon: Medicaid Expansion Audit

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Medicaid Expansion Plan would like to inform our providers that starting in late August, we will be conducting a Medicaid Expansion audit. This audit aims to support our commitment to continuous improvement of coding and billing guidelines. Reviewing documentation and coding, in return, will lead to ongoing and improved documentation and coding accuracy across the board.

IPRO is an authorized representative of the North Dakota (ND) Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and BCBSND. It will partner with us in the medical record retrieval process. A random selection of providers will be chosen for review. Providers will receive a letter from NDHHS with the request from IPRO and important deadlines for sending records. Please note that this will not apply to all providers.
