TriWest is seeing an increase in calls to their Provider Call Center. As we welcome providers to join BCBSND in the TriWest Healthcare Alliance, these resources may help.
- The TriWest website has great resources for providers, including but not limited to:
- Review the TriWest TRICARE West Region Provider Handbook
- The provider handbook contains information about program requirements, claims submission, eligibility, referrals and authorizations as well as beneficiary out-of-pocket costs. You can view the Provider Handbook.
- Find more information about TriWest online.
- TriWest uses Availity Essentials, which is a secure, online provider portal. The portal manages multiple health plans in one place. TriWest will have a unique TRICARE Payer Spaces on Availity Essentials where you will can:
- Submit claims and check claims status.
- Submit and access referrals and authorizations.
- Find tools and resources like the Provider Handbook, Quick Reference Guides and more.
- Take training on TriWest processes and procedures.
- If you do not already have an account on Availity, register now. If you need help with registration or have questions, call Availity at 800-282-4548.
- Reminder: Once the TriWest agreement is signed and executed, your organization will be added to the TriWest network. No additional credentialing is required.
- For any new practitioners, credentialing is still managed through BCBSND, just like it is now. Once they are credentialed by BCBSND, they will be added to the TriWest network automatically.
