High-Importance: Recredentialing In-Network Provider Participation Notice

Attention: Provider Enrollment and Credentialing

The Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) Credentialing and Data Management team is reviewing in-network provider credentialing accounts in need of recredentialing. This review will impact both practitioner and facility in-network providers. This will not impact all providers, only the providers who are past the three-year recredentialing mark.

Practitioners’ notification timeline: Time-sensitive letter notifications were issued in March/ April 2025 to practitioners past the three-year recredentialing timeframe. Additional practitioners will receive a similar letter in late May and/or early June 2025.

Recredentialing updates are required for continued participation as an in-network practitioner with BCBSND. Our policy, in accordance with accreditation and regulatory agencies, mandates credentialing every three years.

Please respond to the notice within 45 business days of receipt. Credentialing is a requirement of our accreditation, regulatory agencies and network participation contract. Failure to respond within 45 days will be considered voluntary termination from participation with BCBSND. Upon termination, BCBSND will notify your patients that you are no longer a participating practitioner.

If you no longer wish to participate, please contact us at prov.net@bcbsnd.com.

Facility providers notification timeline: Time-sensitive letter notifications will begin in early May 2025 to facility providers past the three-year recredentialing timeframe.
