BCBSND wants to provide another update regarding the notification below. Claims have been identified, and adjustments will be made for impacted claims. Please allow additional time for these claims to be adjusted. Providers should call the applicable Provider Service Center after March 27, 2025, if they feel a claim was missed pertaining to this issue.
Previous article posted on Jan. 9, 2025. On Nov. 7, 2024, Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) informed our provider community that we are working to resolve an issue which was outlined in the HealthCare News article Claims Pricing Processing Errors.
Our claims' processing vendor is still working to identify all impacted claims. Once they have identified all impacted claims, BCBSND will begin the adjustment process. Claims impacted were processed between the dates of Oct. 18, 2024, through Nov. 2, 2024.
As a reminder, listed below are the following provider and claim types (this is not an all-inclusive list as we are continuing to research the impact):
- Anesthesia Claims
- Chiropractors: chiropractic services, radiology, therapies, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Lab
- Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Midwife, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistant, Public Health Units: Lab, DME, Medical Drugs, Vaccines, Radiology
- Licensed Addiction Counselor: Labs
- Pharmacist: Vaccines
- Psychologist: Psychiatry Codes, Health Behavior Assessment and Intervention, Development/Behavioral Screening and Testing, Psychological/Neuropsychological Testing, Adaptive Behavior Assessments/Treatments, Psychiatric Collaboration Care Management, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Services
