Coding and Reimbursement Guideline Update

This applies to both Commercial and Medicaid Expansion

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) continually develops coding and billing guideline resources in response to rapidly changing medical technology and updates to the coding sets.

Our commitment is to update the provider community as coding and reimbursement policies and guidelines are added, adopted, and/or revised.

The Anesthesia Services guideline will be updated within the next 10 business days to our provider website.

• Effective date: July 1, 2026
• Moved information from our provider fee schedule to the guideline
  • Information was added for Neuraxial Labor Analgesia/Anesthesia for a Planned Vaginal Delivery and Daily Hospital Management of Epidural or Subarachnoid Continuous Drug Administration.
