Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) continually develops and revises coding and reimbursement policies and resources in response to rapidly changing medical technology and updates to the coding sets. Our commitment is to update the provider community as coding and reimbursement policies and guidelines are added, adopted and/or revised.
The following coding and reimbursement policy updates will become effective April 1, 2024:
- Medically Unlikely Edits (MUE) Deviations (Applies only to Commercial)
- Policy to add CPT code 95165 (is used to report multiple dose vials of non-venom antigens) to remove code’s MUE limitation.
The following coding and reimbursement guideline is new and will become effective April 1, 2024:
- Modifiers 76, 77, and 91 (Repeat and Duplicate Services)
- Appropriate use of modifiers 76, 77 and 91.
