Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) will no longer serve as the claim’s administrator for the Colorectal Cancer Screening Program effective June 30, 2026. Providers should review the following transition information carefully to understand claim submission cutoff dates, changes to support, and where to direct questions after the transition.
What is changing?
Effective June 30, 2026, BCBSND will no longer process claims, adjustments or appeals for the Colorectal Cancer Screening Program. BCBSND call center support for this program will also end effective June 30, 2026, including inquiries related to claims previously processed under the program.
Important cutoff dates
- June 29, 2026: Claims received by BCBSND on or before this date will continue to be processed by BCBSND.
- June 30, 2026: BCBSND will no longer process claims, adjustments or appeals for this program. BCBSND call center support for the program will also end on this date.
Claims, adjustments and appeals
The cutoff will be based on the claim receipt date, not the date of service. Claims received by BCBSND on or before June 29, 2026, will continue to be processed by BCBSND. Claims received on or after June 30, 2026, will be processed under a new vendor unassociated with BCBSND.
If a claim is received before June 29, 2026, but cannot be processed in time for inclusion with the final reimbursement request, the provider will need to submit the claim to the new vendor. BCBSND is not able to forward claims to another party on behalf of the provider.
Any adjustments or appeals requested or received on or after June 30, 2026, including those related to claims originally processed by BCBSND, will no longer be handled by BCBSND.
Provider support after June 30
Beginning June 30, 2026, provider questions related to the Colorectal Cancer Screening Program should be directed to Mountain Pacific. This includes questions about claims, program administration and ongoing support after BCBSND’s role concludes. Contact information can be found on https://ndgetscreened.org/providers/.
Member enrollment and portal access
Program coverage will need to be ended as part of the transition. BCBSND portal access will be deactivated on June 30, 2026.
Reminder for providers
Providers should review any outstanding claims, adjustments or appeals related to the Colorectal Cancer Screening Program and ensure applicable items are submitted before the cutoff dates noted above. After June 29, 2026, BCBSND will no longer administer claims or provide support for this program.
