Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) provides reimbursement to organizations that have obtained certification through the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to administer the National Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) in North Dakota. This is an evidence-based program designed by the CDC that focuses on helping at-risk participants make positive lifestyle changes such as eating healthier, reducing stress, and increasing physical activity. BCBSND began reimbursing these services back on Jan. 1, 2020, for providers who enrolled in the program.

Billing and Coding Requirements Updates for 2026
To align with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) we have made the following code updates to our system to be consistent with the CMS program starting Jan. 1, 2026.
