Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) has been notified that on Oct. 20, 2025, Bremer Bank completed its integration with Old National Bank. As part of this transition, all routing numbers previously associated with Bremer Bank have changed to Old National Bank’s routing number as instructed by Bremer Bank.
Impact on providers
This change has led to a significant increase in automated clearinghouse (ACH) returns for BCBSND due to outdated banking information in provider profiles.
Current actions
As of Nov. 7, 2025, BCBSND has updated provider records to reflect the new routing number for providers with existing records. However, it is crucial that all providers who are no longer associated with Bremer Bank update their banking information to prevent further disruptions.
What providers need to do
- Action required only for account changes:
- Providers only need to act if they are changing bank accounts altogether.
- If you are maintaining the same account (with the new routing number), no action is required with BCBSND. That update has already been completed.
- If you are leaving Bremer Bank/Old National Bank and establishing an entirely new account, you will need to enroll that information within the Transaction Enrollment section of Availity.
