Provider Update: Help Strengthen North Dakota’s Community Needs Data

Healthcare providers across North Dakota are invited to support an important statewide effort to better understand the needs of the communities we serve.

The Community Action Partnership of North Dakota (CAPND), in collaboration with North Dakota State University (NDSU), is continuing outreach for the 2026 Statewide Community Needs Assessment. Additional responses are needed—especially from rural areas—to ensure all 53 counties are accurately represented.

Why this matters for providers
The results of this assessment directly inform:

  • Community-based programs and services
  • Funding and resource allocation
  • Statewide planning efforts

A stronger, more representative dataset helps ensure healthcare and social needs are clearly understood—ultimately improving care coordination and outcomes for North Dakotans.

How you can help
Providers and organizations can play a key role by sharing the survey with:

  • Staff and colleagues
  • Patients and clients
  • Community partners

Survey details:

  • Time to complete: 5–10 minutes
  • Who should participate: Any adult living in North Dakota

Your partnership helps amplify community voices and supports more informed, equitable healthcare planning across North Dakota.
