As mentioned in the prior Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) HealthCare News (HCN) articles Important Updates Regarding North Dakota Medicaid and Medicaid Expansion Health Coverage and Additional Updates Regarding North Dakota Medicaid and Medicaid Expansion Health Coverage once the Public Health Emergency ended, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) started the redetermination process for Medicaid and Medicaid Expansion (ME) members in Apr. 2023. The redetermination process will continue throughout the year and is based on renewal date for the member.
If a patient mentions losing their Medicaid Expansion coverage, providers can direct them to contact BCBSND. We can assist your patients with questions on health insurance coverage if they no longer qualify for Medicaid or Medicaid Expansion. With available tax credits, monthly premiums may be as low as $0 per month.
