Migrated members
Members who have received a new member ID card and member ID number whose coverage and claims processing have moved to the new systems, processes and policies. A sample migrated member ID card is included in the member ID tab below.
As Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) prepares to migrate members to new systems, processes and policies beginning Jan. 1, 2027, this page will serve as your central source for information, resources and updates to help you prepare.

Throughout the transition, BCBSND will use the following terms:
As updates are introduced, BCBSND will clearly communicate whether they apply to migrated members, non-migrated members or all members.
Commercial members will migrate in phases based on their plan’s anniversary beginning on Jan. 1, 2027. Approximately 65% of BCBSND commercial members will migrate on Jan. 1, 2027.
Migrated members will receive new member ID cards with new member ID numbers.
Depending on a member's migration status, the systems, policies and processes related to their claims, medical and pharmacy policy, and other administrative requirements may be different.
Training, tools and resources will be available to help you support migrated members.
