Provider Website Update Notification

Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota (BCBSND) would like to inform providers of the following updates that have been made or will be made in the next 30 days to the BCBSND Provider webpage.

BCBSND Provider webpage updates:

• Medicaid Expansion 1915i page*
  • Updated the applicable guidelines section
• Medicaid Expansion Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) webpage*
  • Added a new section: Understanding Your Resources
  • Clarified the place of service to be used
  • Added/updated information under the Frequently Asked Questions section
• Medicaid Expansion Arkos Care Management webpage*
  • Removal of information regarding Arkos for Medicaid Expansion members will be effective in early May 2026. The removal of information coincides with the transition to BCBSND handling Medicaid Expansion Care Management internally.
    • The transition plan is designed to ensure there is no disruption to required care management services for Medicaid Expansion members.
    • There will be changes for providers on how referral requests are submitted. The updated referral process and contact information will be displayed on the webpage once the transition has occurred.
• Prior Authorization webpage
  • Added information on 2025 prior authorization statistics
• The No Surprises Act (NSA) and Directory Validation process guide
  • Renamed section from Troubleshooting to Frequently Asked Questions.
    • Added additional Q & A’s to section
